Hello everyone,
I have taken a break for the past few years to be creative myself! I started my own company Oohlalabel using the skills I was teaching, and have also been trying my hand at something creative that I love- Interior Design- Waring Interiors. I also had my fourth child, so you can imagine, I have been busy!
However, with recent events I would like to think that there is always a silver lining to every cloud- so hope this is a time for CREATIVE THINKING! This could be a special time where the most creative things happen! I was sent a picture recently of Isaac Newton with the heading:
When you have to work from home, and end up discovering gravity:
In 1665, Isaac Newton had to work from home when the University of Cambridge temporarily closed due to the Bubonic plague. It was the most productive period of his life, and he used that time to develop his theories on calculus, optics, and gravity.
So I have joined forces with Rachael Williams ( a child psychologist) and we hope to continue this blog with the additional bonus of another mind.
We plan to bring you activities for kids that will develop "SKILLS FOR THE FUTURE"
According to the world economic forum, these include:
1. Complex Problem Solving
2. Critical Thinking
3. Creativity
4. People Management
5. Coordination with Others
6. Emotional Intelligence
7. Judgement and Decision Making
8. Service Orientation
9 Negotiation
10. Cognitive Flexibility
